Ahhhh…..
He jerked
and sat on the bed, wiping his sweat beads, shivering. He took water from the bed-side table and drank it in one go. He left the bed and went to wash his face.
He is looking at his reflection in the mirror… a year… nearly a year since this
dream is haunting him. He didn’t remember her face clearly. The girl whom he
forced. Even in dreams, her face always blurred. He is not a guy who will
sleep around. In fact, he hates those kinds of people. He did nothing deliberately, yet he does the damage. If he knows that something like
this would have happened maybe he shouldn’t have left to that place.
He came and
sat on the recliner, closed his eyes by keeping his head on the headrest. He eyed no girl before and always waited for his right one. Even though girls
throw themselves at him, he kept his distance with them. He had a firm belief in marriage as he had seen his parents.
He always
admired his parent’s relationship, their love, their concern and care for each
other. Their relation is a kind of unique they always fight, not that they are
serious; their fights make their relationship stronger. Their love never faded
but got increased day by day. After seeing his parents, he always dreamt that
kind of love life where their love grows stronger and stronger. He wished to
have the same life partner just like his mother: cute, lovable, caring
and humble.
There is
rumor too, and some even thought him to be gay seeing his disinterest in girls,
but he never bothered about any of these. He stopped hugging girls because he
knew how some girls tried to seduce him in the name of hug, he just shrugged
them off angrily and left from there.
Before a year, his sister asked him to meet with a girl who was the sister
of her friend. Seeing his sisters constantly persistent, he agreed to meet her. In
the first meet itself, he knows she is not the one he is waiting for and he
clearly told this to her. But she tried nagging him few times but when he
didn’t buzz she left. He thought he could get rid of her not knowing what she is
planning behind. After a few days, he left to Delhi with family to attend his
cousin’s wedding. There are still 2 days for the wedding preparations are
going on full swing. That day he got a call from one of his clients to meet him
to discuss some business as he needs to head to his hometown for a year. So,
he went to meet him in XYZ Hotel.
That day he met his client, and everything went well and client left from there. He thought of relaxing there for some time and ordered some juice and started drinking it, not knowing that juice spiked. Someone came and stood beside him and he looked up only to see Sheetal Kapoor, the girl his sister asked him to meet. He started getting dizzy and fell on the table after that. What happened he didn’t know? But when he woke up the next morning, he sees himself naked on the bed covering with duvet. He tried to recall everything, but he remembered nothing except for he forcing himself on the girl who is trying to pry him but accepted defeat crying after knowing nothing can save her. Who is the girl he forced he didn’t remember?
His cousin's marriage got finished. After that incident, he always stayed aloof
from everything and the guilt is killing him every day. After two days, his best
friend confronted him for his behavior and he shared everything with him. They
both tried to know about that girl but got no clue as the cctv cameras
got jammed that day. They got hope when they came to know only one person know
about his stay along with that girl who called that girl as Di.
But again their search came to a halt as he stopped coming there. They both give
their numbers to contact them when he came there.
Next day he left to Mumbai on business trip as it couldn't avoid. When he came back after nearly 2 months situation went out of control. The very next
day after he arrived, Sheetal started her drama in front of his family stating that she is the one
he slept with and she is pregnant. All believed her except for his best friend because both know if
she is the one she will never sit quietly for these days. She will start the drama that day itself and she will never resist. He refused to believe
her but his parents got angry at him they slapped him and declared their
marriage in a week. Even though they never liked her but
they have to do it as the proofs are against their son.
He accepted
for marriage. But his best friend started investigating what exactly happened
that day. It is five days prior to the wedding. Along with Arnav, all went to
the jewelry shop for the engagement as they thought to do engagement the next
day.
Flash back
All entered
the shop. Seeing them, the owner came and greeted them as they knew each other
from years. After exchanging
pleasantries, ladies get seated and started seeing the rings.
Sheetal:
Don’t you have any rings other than these.
Motilal: We
have, madam.
Sheetal:
Then show me some elegant designs.
Motilal:
Mohan, ask Rajesh to help you bring those rings quickly.
He left
from there and came after sometime with the other person. The other person saw
Arnav there came running to him by putting the tray on the table calling him.
Person:
(holding his hands) Jiju! You here. That day you looked intoxicated I left from there after dropping you in a room as I got a call.
But the next day she didn’t come, I thought she is busy. Anyway, now you are here so
I can meet her. Is it your engagement? But Di never told me. Leave all that you
know Jiju I am so happy after seeing Di with you. At last she got someone in
her life to call her own. You don’t know how much she suffered in her life. But
now I am happy for her because you are there to look after her. You both looked
great together. (seeing around) But.... where is Di?
At first
Arnav is so confused why he is calling him as Jiju. But after he
mentioned that day he knows the person they are searching for is he (Rohan)
only. All started getting what he is talking about. Before Arnav could ask
anything Ratna (Arnav’s mother) came to ask him.
Ratna:
Isn’t she the one whom you are talking about then why are you searching asked
him pointing at Sheetal who just stand.
Rohan: No,
Mam. She isn't the one.
Sheetal:
Why are you talking like that, Rajesh? You know right I am the one who took
Arnav that day as he is heavily drunk.
Rohan:
Rajesh?! Who is Rajesh? I am Rohan Khurana. I know my Di very well why should I
get confused her with you. My Di is so beautiful, cute and innocent. And what
you are a cunning spoilt brat. Why should I mistake my Di with you?
Sheetal
raised her hand to slap him but he hold her hand stopping her
Rohan:
Don’t you dare do that mistake again? You think I don’t know about you. It’s
better if you don’t let me open my mouth now and I think I don’t have to tell
you about the consequences after warning her he left her hand forcibly making
stumbled.
All understand that she is not the girl. And she played her cards to get Arnav.
Rohan: But,
Jiju, where is Di? Why she isn’t here with you?
Arnav: I
will tell you all that later. But first tell me, did you have her number and
what is her name?
Rohan: Name
and number? Didn’t you know her?
Arnav:
Rohan, first give me her number I will tell you everything later. Do you have
any photos of her?
Rohan:
(even though confused) No, I don’t have any and Di doesn’t like photos. But I have one in my home and I will give it later. Her name
is Khushi. And here is the number and showed his phone.
Arnav
dialed her number, but it didn’t get connected. He tried several times, but the
number is not reachable.
All left to
home and there they came to know what happened that day. As Aman got the evidence, Sheetal spiked his
drink, which is why Arnav is not in his control and she used the
jammer to stop the cameras. Aman made the server arrested who spiked the drink
as per Sheetal saying. Sheetal too left from there, along with her parents silently......
His
thoughts got disturbed by the knock on the door.
Anjali:
Chote! Chote!
Arnav:
Coming Di (opened the door) What happened, Di?
Anjali:
(seeing his face) Are you alright, Chote?
Arnav: Yeah
Di, I am fine. Tell me what you wanted to tell.
Anjali:
Actually, your Jeejaji just called that he is coming this evening. So I want to
ask are you free today.
Arnav: Yeah
Di, I will receive him. Don’t worry.
Anjali left
from there, closing his door, he went to fresh up.
